Our Name
In Matthew 7:24-25 Jesus relates the following story:
Therefore, everyone who listens to these messages of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on a rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, but it did not collapse because its foundation was on the rock.”
If you are going to build a house, the foundation must be sound. The same holds true for a church. Everything we do is grounded in the very Rock that is Jesus – our Lord and Saviour. He is the rock on which we derive all of our teachings.
He is ‘the stone that was rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.’ There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.”
